Barbara Pleasant: Keeping Christmas Natural

This page is under construction, but I'm working on it. Slow and steady wins the race! Very soon, the content will expand to provide more interesting reading. Thanks for your patience.

This project started with Make Simple, Beautiful Garden Fences and Trellises, a fun Mother article about using twigs and vines to make neat things.

My new wreath is structured with wild grapevines from the woods, and it's filled with cuttings from the yard's generous pines and firs. The wreath is spending most of its time indoors now, showing off some of my favorite ornaments, but after the holidays it's going outside for good.

Maybe it will become a fancy bird feeder, or perhaps it will protect some strawberries from winter's second half.

For now, consider it a symbol of my wish to you for a relaxed and wonderful holiday season. Enjoy slow food. Go for a walk in the woods. Reread your favorite Christmas story. Live each day in love. Peace will naturally follow.
